About Lynne
Lynne became an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) over 20 years ago after a lengthy teaching career in secondary schools. Lynne has successfully run her own driver training establishment ever since. Having started with learner drivers she soon moved on to specialise in ADI training, Standards Check training, rescue training for Parts 2 and Part 3 and one to one coaching sessions.
She is part of ORDIT which is the Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers. It’s a voluntary register that means that you have had a senior examiner sit in the back of your car and watch you training someone to be a driving instructor. After passing this assessment you are entered on the ORDIT register to show that you’ve met DVSA quality standards. Lynne also trains other ADIs to become part of ORDIT.

Training & Qualifications
Lynne is one of the very few ADIs who hold a Master’s Degree in Driver Training, she completed it at Middlesex University. Lynne has always believed in continuing her professional development (CPD) and as part of that, she completed a postgraduate course in Coaching for Driver Development at the University of East London.
Whilst studying for these qualifications she started to write books for the industry and “Pass Part 3 and Standards Check Success” and “Come to Coaching” regularly help her own trainees and other PDIs and ADIs in the profession.

Professional Roles
Having been Chair at the ADINJC (Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council, a leading association for ADIs) for over 10 years, Lynne is currently their President.
This means she represents the ADINJC at NASP (National Associations Strategic Partnership) industry meetings with the DVSA. She is also a fellow of the IMTD (Institute of Master Tutors of Driving) and writes for the monthly ADINJC newsletter. She also trains PDIs and ADIs at workshops, expos and conferences around the country on behalf of the ADINJC.

Constant Development
Lynne considers that her extensive teaching and training experience means that she is well placed to help other ADIs. She is a Grade A instructor and has also received the highest grades in her ORDIT inspections.
Lynne has helped hundreds of PDIs and ADIs to train for their tests and she has observed many lessons given and tests taken by PDIs and ADIs. As both President and Past Chair of the ADINJC and one of their representatives at NASP, she has been at the forefront of the evolution of the Part 3 and Standards Check. The information she provides is up to date and well respected. In 2021 she was awarded the Intelligent Instructor Award for Services to the Driver Training Industry.

Her training has helped many PDIs to become driving instructors and also ADIs to remain on the register and others to gain the top grades that they wanted to achieve.
Lynne believes we never stop learning and so she is thankful for all the PDIs and ADIs who have come to her for training in preparation for their Part 3 and Standards Check. Their opinions, reflections, concerns, and experiences all added to her own experiences and learning. As does help from many examiners who have assisted in answering queries and giving advice on the Part 3 and Standards Check.
